Indices of Multiple Deprivation (IMD)

Index of Multiple Deprivation at Lower Layer Super Output Area level (2007 & 2004), wards (2000). Summary measures at Local Authority level. Three sets of data exist - one for 2000, the second for 2004 and the third for 2007. The overall index is constructed from a set of domain indicators which are weighted and combined together. 2007 & 2004 Domains: Income deprivation, Employment deprivation, Health deprivation and disability, Education, skills and training (children / young people sub-domain, skills sub-domain), Barriers to housing and services (wider barriers sub-domain, geographical barriers sub-domain), Crime, The living environment (the indoors living sub-domain, the outdoors living sub-domain).
